Newspaper video critique

The first newspaper website I looked at was USAtoday.com. I found that their video offerings were very organized and well presented. On the home page they have a tab for video that brings you to their video page. Once there it offers tabs along the top that include news, sports, travel, and so on. When you click one of these it leaves the layout the same and brings up a section of videos, each category having sub-categories. so if you want to look at NFL videos you can go to sports, then NFL on the right and it will bring up only videos pertaining to the NFL. I liked this layout a lot, it was easy to use and you can find exactly what your looking for fast. Here's the link to USA Todays video page.

The second one I looked at was washingtonpost.com. This was much more confusing and not helpful at all. After i finally found the video page ( it was under the news tab when you rolled over it) I found it very cluttered. The first problem was that it was labeled photo/video. Then once there you had to click video in another place to get to the video page. Then when you finally reach the vido page it is cluttered and not very organized. There are no previews of the video so you have to go by what the headline says and if it says video next to it. Overall it was not laid out well and was not very user friendly. Here's the link to their video page.
